The licensor of the TokenTank software is Julius Troisi, Schloßhof 8, 91275 Auerbach in der Oberpfalz, Germany, support@tokentank.app ("we").
The purchase of a licence key runs through Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments). Stripe acts as merchant of record: the contract of sale is concluded with the Stripe entity named on the checkout page and on your receipt, which also handles the invoice, VAT and the statutory right of withdrawal. Stripe's terms apply to that purchase.
These licence terms govern something else, namely your use of the software: what you may do with TokenTank, on how many Macs, for how long, and what we are liable for. They apply between you and us as soon as you install TokenTank or activate a licence key.
TokenTank runs for 14 days from first launch with the full feature set. No account and no payment details are required. After the trial without a licence key, collection continues, the display is locked, and nothing is deleted.
A valid licence key grants you a simple, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use TokenTank. In detail:
On activation and at intervals afterwards, TokenTank checks the key against our licence service. If the service cannot be reached, the licence stays valid for up to 14 days so that nobody is locked out offline. What is transmitted is described in the privacy policy.
Circumventing or defeating the licence check, or generating keys, is not permitted.
TokenTank reads local session logs and the providers' usage endpoints with your own credentials, and displays the numbers it finds.
Updates arrive through the built-in updater. They may change or remove features where there is an objective reason — for instance because a provider shuts down an interface. There is no entitlement to any particular feature.
TokenTank is protected by copyright. The licence grants you a right of use, not rights in the software itself. Renting, lending and making it available to third parties are not permitted.
Reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the software is not permitted, except where sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act mandatorily allow it. Your statutory rights to intended use and to establishing interoperability remain unaffected.

14-day money back. Within 14 days of purchase we refund without asking for reasons. An email to support@tokentank.app is enough; the refund runs through Stripe and the key is deactivated. We give this voluntarily; your statutory rights remain alongside it.
The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers is held against Stripe as the seller. The notice sits in the "Sold through Link" terms linked from checkout: the withdrawal period is 14 days from the day you were given access to the product you bought. You exercise it through Link's customer support, giving "withdrawal period" as the reason for the refund. Those terms provide for no early lapse for digital content.
You cancel the yearly licence through Stripe or by email to us, in each case to the end of the current term. After it ends the display is locked; your data stays.
We may block a licence that has been passed on, where the licence check has been circumvented, or where the purchase price has been charged back. We will contact you first unless that is plainly pointless.
Statutory warranty rights against the seller remain unaffected. TokenTank is provided in its current version.
We do not owe any particular availability, neither for our licence and update service nor for the providers' endpoints, over which we have no control. No software is free of defects; we remedy material defects within a reasonable time.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where we have given a guarantee.
For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract.
Liability is otherwise excluded. This applies in particular to decisions you make on the basis of the numbers shown, and to costs incurred with a provider.
What TokenTank reads, what it sends and what it does not send is set out in the privacy policy. Message contents are never read, and there is no usage analytics.
We may change these terms where there is an objective reason — such as a change in law, case law or the feature set — and the change does not unreasonably disadvantage you.
We announce any change in text form at least six weeks in advance. If you do not object before it takes effect, it is deemed accepted; we point this out separately in the announcement. If you object, you may cancel a yearly licence as of the effective date. For a one-time purchase, the licence scope under § 3 continues to apply in the version current at your purchase.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence apply in addition.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from these terms is our registered seat. Towards consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Should any provision be invalid, the remainder stays in force. The statutory rule takes the place of the invalid provision.
